EVT3D
Capabilities

Every builder and shop in EVT3D.

Not a feature list — a toolset. These are the 29 builders, shops, and canvas tools you use to design a real event: parametric stages and truss, panel-accurate LED, procedural florals, audience sections you can sit inside, and a spec sheet that writes itself. Each one is dimensionally honest, because it's the same tool your production team plans with.

Staging & Structure

5 tools

The hard architecture of the room — decks, stairs, walls, and overhead rigging.

Stage Builder

Builder

Stand up decking to spec in seconds.

Set height, width, and depth and get a parametric platform with per-surface materials and UV control, so branded graphics land crisp on the deck top. Drop into Stage Edit Mode to add stairs and edge treatments, and it keeps a running parts list as you build.

  • Parametric height/width/depth
  • Per-surface materials & UV
  • Auto parts list

Step Unit Builder

Builder

Stairs that snap to your stage.

Dial in step count, rise, run, width, and nosing, then add railings, edge tape with optional glow, and a curved run when you need one. It snaps straight to stage edges so access always lines up.

  • Rise / run / width control
  • Railings & glow edge tape
  • Snaps to stage edges

Truss & Rigging

Builder

You hang truss and rigs in minutes.

Lay straight truss lines with two clicks or drop circle truss from a center and radius, then work in Rigging Mode to add corner blocks and chain hoists. It's for planning overhead structure deliberately instead of eyeballing it later.

  • Line & circle truss
  • Corner blocks
  • Chain hoists

SEG & Extrusion Walls

Builder

Frame SEG and extrusion walls on a 62 mm grid.

Build walls from catalog frame sizes tiled along a drawn run and stacked to a target height, snapping to a 62 mm module. Neutral profile styles keep it brand-agnostic while staying dimensionally honest.

  • Catalog frame sizes
  • 62 mm grid snap
  • Stack to height

Primitive Builder

Builder

Make the piece the library doesn't carry.

Spawn procedural primitives — cube, sphere, and friends — and tune segments, thickness, and arc to stand in for anything the catalog doesn't carry. Size follows the prop's own transform, so it drops into the scene like any other piece.

  • Procedural shapes
  • Segment / arc control
  • Fills catalog gaps

Venue Modeling

3 tools

Model the room itself — solid finished walls, ceilings, and the operable partitions that split a hall.

Venue Wall Builder

Builder

Draw the room's real walls — trim, doors and all.

Draw a run and the tool stands up a solid finished wall dressed with baseboard, crown, chair rail, and wainscot, with real architectural doors — single, ballroom double, closet bi-fold, or a cased opening — framed into it. Edit the nodes in place, drop in doors, add a bend, give each run its own height, and shape the trim cross-sections in a built-in profile editor.

  • Profiled trim & wainscot
  • Architectural doors
  • Editable trim profiles

One-Click Ceilings

Builder

Put a ceiling on the room in one click.

Close a venue-wall room and one button caps it with a watertight ceiling sitting flush on top of the walls — nooks, juts, and curved runs included. A matching button lays the floor slab. Each lands in the venue's own group with a real material lane, ready for paint or an acoustic-tile texture, and regenerates in place whenever the walls move, reshape, or change height.

  • Generated from the wall loop
  • Flush with the wall top
  • Regenerates with the room

Airwall Builder

Builder

Split a ballroom on the venue's own airwall lines.

Draw a line and the tool stands up an operable partition — the movable, tracked wall that splits ballrooms and halls — with separate material lanes for panels, frame, and floor sweep. Edit the nodes in place to reshape the run.

  • Draw-to-place run
  • Panel / frame / sweep materials
  • In-place node editing

Backdrops & Soft Goods

4 tools

Cycs, drape, tension fabric, and the pipe that holds it all up.

Cyc Builder

Builder

Hang a seamless cyc at any width.

Generate a single welded floor-to-cove-to-wall backdrop from sliders — width, height, cove radius, horizontal bend — with pipe-pocket, lace-and-grommet, or thick-hem finishes. It comes out as a few KB of geometry rather than a heavy imported model.

  • Welded floor → cove → wall
  • Concave or convex wrap
  • Real soft-goods finishes

Drape Builder

Builder

Run pipe-and-drape around corners and bays.

Draw a track and the tool hangs pleated fabric between uprights — masking legs, backdrops, curtained rooms — with theater-pipe hardware and finish options. A dedicated edit mode lets you reshape the run after it's placed.

  • Draw-to-hang track
  • Real pleat geometry
  • Theater-pipe uprights

Tension Fabric

Builder

Stretch fabric over a bent-pipe frame.

Build a closed frame — rectangle, rounded, polygon, or star — and stretch fabric across it for tension-fabric structures and printed shapes. Rib-edit mode fine-tunes the outline until it reads right.

  • Frame shape presets
  • Fabric over frame
  • Rib editing

Bent Pipe Builder

Builder

Bend pipe and tube to any radius.

Make straight or curved pipe runs, rings by outer/inner diameter, or closed frame outlines in round or square tube — with taper, V-bend, and tilt. It's the base geometry behind rails, rings, and one-off metalwork.

  • Line / circle / frame
  • Round or square tube
  • Taper & V-bend

Video & Displays

2 tools

Panel-accurate LED and single-surface screens that carry real content.

LED Wall Builder

Builder

Build the wall panel by panel, at real pitch.

Assemble an N×M array from template LED products or from scratch, including irregular T / L / jumbotron grids, curve and spacing, and a welded video surface that carries your content or a live I-MAG feed. Hardware accessories like footers and hangers come along for real-world planning.

  • Template LED products
  • Irregular & curved grids
  • I-MAG / PIP content

Screen Builder

Builder

Drop in a projection screen at real size.

Drop a single LCD, LED, or projection surface at a chosen aspect ratio — the right tool when you want one continuous screen instead of a panel array. It carries video content or an I-MAG feed just like the wall does.

  • Aspect-ratio presets
  • Single continuous surface
  • I-MAG ready

Lighting

3 tools

Spec fixtures and light the room with real beams and shadows.

Light Shop

Shop

Spec a fixture, then light with it.

Pick a fixture archetype like a moving head, tune every dimension, and preview the pan/tilt rig with a sliding beam origin. On import it pins a real spotlight to that origin, and you can arm it to drop straight onto a truss.

  • Fixture archetypes
  • Real beam on import
  • Arm-to-truss placement

Scene Lights

Tool

Light the room with fixtures that cast real shadows.

Add spot, point, area, and directional lights with live shadows and sensible per-type limits that keep the scene performant. A focus tool aims each fixture exactly where you want the pool to land.

  • Spot / point / area / directional
  • Live shadows
  • Aim & focus tool

Simulated Up & Downlights

Tool

Wash color down a wall without burning a channel.

Paint uplight and downlight pools straight onto drape, walls, tension fabric, cycs, and other surfaces — cans washing up from the floor edge or a batten washing down from the top — with control over color, spread, and falloff. The glow is rendered inside each surface rather than by a real fixture, so you can light a whole room's worth of fabric well past the number of true lights a real-time scene can cast, and it stays smooth on any device.

  • Up / down wash per surface
  • Doesn't spend a real light
  • Color, spread & falloff

Seating & Sightlines

3 tools

Fill the room with seats and prove the audience can see.

Audience Builder

Builder

Set hundreds of chairs in one pass.

Turn one section config — rows, seat size, rake, aisles, curve or banquet tables — into a full grid or curve of instanced chairs, with optional tables and centerpieces. Every chair knows its row and seat, so you can long-press one and sit in it.

  • Grid / curve / banquet
  • Instanced chairs
  • Chair View sightlines

Viewpoints & Chair View

Tool

Sit your client in any seat in the house.

Drop attendee markers anywhere and double-click in View Mode to look out from their eyes — eye height, heading, and pitch all set per marker. Those viewpoints also feed the camera carousel and the Viewpoint Tour.

  • Attendee eye markers
  • First-person look
  • Feeds the tour

Viewing Range Helper

Tool

Show who can actually see the screen.

Projects a floor heatmap of constant-distance contours out from a screen, bounded by a 45° viewing-angle cone. It's a fast, visual read on sightlines and viewing range before anything gets loaded in.

  • Floor sightline heatmap
  • Distance contours
  • 45° angle cone

People & Décor

5 tools

Populate and dress the space — people, props, flowers, plants, crowd control.

Prop Shop

Shop

Draw the piece — or generate it.

Draw a custom scenic element from a 2D profile and extrude, lathe, sweep, or set it as 3D text, tuning depth, bevel, and finish against a live preview. Or switch to Generate (Pro), describe the prop in plain English or hand it a reference photo, and a 3D model comes back for you to texture and size. Either way it files into your library as an ordinary prop — placeable, shareable, reusable.

  • Extrude / lathe / sweep / text
  • Text or image → 3D prop
  • Saves to your library

Body Shop

Shop

Fill the seats with people, posed and dressed.

Build a rigged human with height and build controls, pose them interactively, and set motion — still, idle, or a procedural wander walk. Use them for scale, presence, and populated renders.

  • Height & build sliders
  • Interactive posing
  • Idle / wander motion

Flower Shop

Shop

Build centerpieces stem by stem.

Generate floral arrangements procedurally — arrangement style, footprint, density, focal and filler flowers, vase, even lit candles with a real flame. Every piece is unique instead of the same imported bouquet ten times over.

  • Procedural arrangements
  • Vase & candle presets
  • Real flame lighting

Plant Shop

Shop

Green a lobby with potted plants and trees.

The same arrangement engine tuned for potted floor plants like ficus, so you can green a lobby or soften a stage without hunting down models. Adjust size and density until it fits the corner.

  • Potted floor plants
  • Size & density control
  • Procedural variety

Stanchion Builder

Builder

Rope lines and belt barriers.

Draw a path and a post stands at every node, switchable per line between ornate posts with sagging velvet rope and modern posts with taut retractable belts. Edit the run node by node to shape queues and entrances.

  • Rope or belt posts
  • Draw-to-place
  • Node editing

Cameras & Capture

2 tools

Frame the shot, fly the room, and play it back for the client.

Cameras

Tool

Set the shots your client will actually see.

Place Target cameras framed from your current view, Free cameras you fly FPS-style, and I-MAG cameras that render their own feed onto screens and LED walls. Each one has full rotate, pan, and orbit control.

  • Target / Free / I-MAG
  • FPS fly-through
  • Live I-MAG feed

Viewpoint Tour

Tool

Walk the client through the room, shot by shot.

Chain your viewpoints into a guided tour and hit play to move through the space stop by stop. It's a built-in walkthrough for reviews and client presentations, no video editing required.

  • Sequenced stops
  • One-tap playback
  • Presentation-ready

Planning & Documents

2 tools

Ground the design in the real plan and hand off a real document.

Reference Floorplan

Tool

Build on top of the real plan.

Import a real floorplan — image or PDF — and set its true scale by tracing one known distance and typing its length in feet-and-inches or meters. It lays into the scene as an underlay just under the floor, so you design directly on top of the actual room. Fine-tune the fit with on-canvas resize handles, measure any two points, and save it to the venue's library with source credits so it's ready at the right size next time.

  • Image / PDF import
  • Trace-to-scale calibration
  • Saved to the venue library

Spec Sheet

Tool

Hand production a drawing set, not a picture.

A per-project 2D document that auto-populates from your live scene — overview, discipline parts, a live floorplan, video surfaces, product lists, and a hero slideshow — with rich-text editing and a theme toggle. What you build becomes what you hand off.

  • Auto-populated blocks
  • Live floorplan SVG
  • Print-ready handoff

The fastest way to understand it is to build in it.

Every tool here works on real vendor inventory with real dimensions — so what you design is what can actually get loaded in.
